Why Register?

I have been asked why it is I do not allow anonymous people to post, or why it is that one MUST register an account before posting comments.
There are a few reasons for this. First my goal is to make this website a 'community' and as such I believe that people should know who made what
comments. Keep in mind that only a bare minimal amount of information is required. A username, a password and selecting your country. That is all.
Any other information is completely optional. No one will know who you really are if you do not wish it.
Sure, this will cut down on the number of comments people receive on postings. But again, I believe that anyone who really wants to debate a point
would also like to see what responses they received from their comments, so they will be returning if they had anything worth while to say. Also as a member
of this community, although I would love to hear everyone's comments on every issue, I am not all that eagar to have my postings flooded with spam which
is prevented, or easilly deleted by having such a registration system.
So, please take a minute to register and begin commenting, posting, blogging or doing what ever else you would like to do on
this site.
